American Idol at the Tacoma Dome!!

Here are my few and humble pictures from the American Idol concert 9/2/06 at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma Wa. Some are blurry, some not the greatest shots. It was hard working around people's heads and signs, bright lights from the stage shining out into the audience periodically and singers who sometimes just did not stand in one place for more than a few seconds at a time. Hope you enjoy them for what they are. Thanks for viewing!

Dan and Andy Weiner

On the left is Dan, my SO. On the right is Andy Weiner, arranger and keyboard player for the show. He is a customer of Dan's and got us the tickets and After Show passes. Thanks a million Andy! He's a great guy!

Mandisa appears on the big screen. Dan says WOW!! She was his favorite.

Ace and Mandisa share a moment. We were in the 10th row, not as close as this looks, so I'm thankful for the zoom on my little camera.

There was a great deal of screaming when Ace took his jacket off during "Father Figure."

Lisa singing Elton John at the piano.

Lisa and Paris in their duet. I didn't get a picture of Paris by herself - she moved around the stage too much and too fast.

Bucky gets down to "Superstition."

Kellie and Bucky sing "You're The One That I Want." Unfortunately, this is the only picture I got of Kellie. (I had forgotten to erase the cat pictures from the camera's card before hand and this pic filled it. Took care of it at intermission.)

I like this picture because it shows the band's set up pretty well. A second keyboard station (Andy's) is on the far left out of view.

Chris started the 2nd half and got a huge ovation. It got increasingly difficult to take pictures from here on out because everyone was standing most of the time. I don't have any idea how I got this clear of a shot.

Elliott is singing "Moody's Mood for Love." That's a Seattle Seahawks jersey he's wearing.

It was hard to photograph Katharine because she (like Paris) moved around a lot and quickly, and there were a lot of heads to dodge. Finally she stood still for "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." Wish I had gotten one better than this though because she looked fantastic in this dress. Her hair is also shorter and straighter than before.

What can I say? It's Taylor!

More Taylor. And that's Andy in the shadows on the far right at the keyboard.

Can't have too much Taylor!

My new boyfriend and I at the After Show meet & greet, posing with Dan (L) :-)

With Elliott. I just now realized that Elliott no longer has his Hail Caesar hair do. Much better!

With Bucky

Ace is one happy, friendly guy.

And once more, thanks to Andy Weiner for the introductions and taking our pictures! !

We had a fun time all the way around.
