The following are a series of images taken during a project where Dan Oberloh has undertaken rebuilding the valve assembly to a Holton 345 tuba. At the time it was also converted from the original metal drop-in guides to the more quiet and smoother opperating side mounted, screw-in nylon guides that are used currently by most high end manufacturers. The copper and nickel plating was performed by our friends at Electrofinishing, Inc. of Kent, WA.
